You are Enough

Somewhere along the way, many of us began believing the same quiet lie.

That our worth is something to be earned.

If we work harder.
If we become more successful.
If we look a certain way.
If we own enough.
If enough people admire us.
If we can prove ourselves.

Then, perhaps...

...we'll finally be enough.

It's a heavy burden to carry.

Because the finish line keeps moving.

The promotion arrives, and soon another one takes its place.

The house gets bigger.

The closet fills.

The achievements accumulate.

Yet the feeling we're chasing often remains just beyond reach.

Perhaps that's because we've been searching for something we never lost.

A newborn child doesn't need to accomplish anything before being loved.

A forest doesn't compare itself to another forest.

A mountain doesn't wonder if it's tall enough.

Nature doesn't measure worth.

It simply expresses what it already is.

Somewhere within us, that same truth still exists.

Before the world gave us titles.

Before success became an identity.

Before failure became something to fear.

We were simply human.

And that was enough.

This doesn't mean we stop growing.

Trees continue reaching toward the sun.

Rivers continue flowing.

We continue learning, creating, failing, healing, and becoming.

Growth is beautiful.

But growth is healthiest when it comes from curiosity rather than inadequacy.

There is a profound difference between saying,

"I need to become more so I can finally be enough."

and

"I am already enough, so I am free to become more."

One is driven by fear.

The other by freedom.

But perhaps peace begins the moment you stop asking whether you're enough.

And instead remember...

You always were.
